The rise of HE-ProMasteR website forum and its end

The largest Greek community (forum) for programmers and hackers has permanently closed its servers on October 10, 2022. It was one of the biggest and oldest Greek forum website dedicated to programming and hacking since 2004. One of its early members was a 16-year-old teenager who gave it the specific name.

Initially, the HE-ProMasteR had the form of a blog where one could easily find tutorials and guides on programming website codes and video games. A few years later, it took on its well-known forum format thanks to its large user base in the country and the incredible variety of content it offered, which included everything from programming languages to hacking techniques. This attracted users from all over the world, leading to a massive number of members, reaching around 10 million, fact that made HE-ProMasteR website forum an important source of online knowledge.

The access was initially free to everyone, but later on, after several years, they decided to change some sections and allow access to VIP only members. This helped the owners generate income and maintain their project, followed by sponsored ads. The servers and offices were located in Lithuania, the country of residence of most of the owners.

Unfortunately, in the last few years, it has become a troublesome project as the number of visitors dramatically decreased due to insufficient resources. However, this did not mean the end of HE-ProMasteR, as they managed to receive donations from various sources.

HE-ProMaster users will now start turning to deep web and taking their knowledge, material and ideas with them.
